About the Community of Practice (CoP)
This Community of Practice (CoP) platform has been developed by the SA LED Network – a project hosted by the South African Local Government Association (SALGA) – in cooperation with the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). As a dedicated online platform for a particular group of people who share a common interest or profession, the CoP tool is aimed at providing a restricted space that allows practitioners to network with each other and to exchange ideas, knowledge, good practices and professional experience.
The objectives of the CoP integrated into the SA LED Network website are all “people-centred” and targeted to respond to individual and community needs. Amongst others, the aim is to...
- connect people across sectors, organisations & hierarchies.
- enhance and disseminate latest news in the sector (training opportunities, events, jobs, tenders) and available material (policies, strategies, economic data, tools).
- provide space for focused discussions (Q&A, forum discussions, blog posts).
- provide space to communicate success stories and to share good practices.
The SA LED Network is currently supporting and facilitating 2 CoPs:
If you want to become a registered member of one of the existing CoPs or wish to establish your own CoP platform, please contact the SA LED Network team: firstname.lastname@example.org.
