Description
DGRV’s main function is to assist the process of group or co-operative formation (understanding co-operatives). They also provide assistance to promote co-operative knowledge through training to new farmers and SMMEs, assist in the formation and strengthening of savings and credit co-operatives in rural areas and peri-urban areas. They also give advice on co-operative development and management with special emphasis on "co-operative"audit (preparation of "proper"books). Their Cooperation with South Africa is with various departments, the Reserve bank, Yebo co-operative and the Co-operative Development Initiative (CDI) Regional Conference Co-operating out of povert.
