It has been five years since the approval of the first Integrated Development Plan for Greater Tzaneen Municipality. As required by legislation (the Municipal Systems Act of 2000) the IDP must be reviewed annually. The IDP of GTM is a document that integrates planning, budgeting and Performance Management. As an introduction a brief overview will be given of the functions of the municipality as well as the legislation that impact on the functioning of the municipality.
