Document: Local Economic Development in South Africa - Addressing the Challenges

This article highlights the challenges for LED in South Africa. In the view of the author a successful LED initiative relies on to a certain extent on voluntary work and other organisations spending time in meetings and doing work which is often unpaid. Coming up with viable, practical, quickly implementable proposals is a crucial goal at the beginning of any LED innitiative.
