The aim of the presentation addresses the following questions:

  • What are the key findings of the municipal LED Institutional Assessment  at Amathole, Cacadu & Nelson Mandela Metro?
  • Have we made any difference towards poverty eradication?
  • Have we made any meaningful impact on stimulating local economies?
  • Can we grandstand over the investment we have made?
  • Is there an improvement towards the lives of the people that the departments’ investment on LED has made?
  • What are the obvious obstacles to partnerships at a local level?
  • What exposes our weaknesses in building partnerships for a sustainable LED?
