Document: Sunday's River Valley LM: IDP 2011 - 2016
Description
The reviewed IDP 2011/12 was prepared by the outgoing Council in preparation for the new Council to implement it. The xisting Council has done all in its power to minimize risks that may result in new Council not accepting this IDP. As a result this IDP is informed by the needs of the communities and and the available human and financial resources at the disposal of the Council. Sundays River Valley Municipality is still under administration until five months after the inauguaration of the the new council. The municipality is approaching 2011/12 with a remarkable progress with respect to the following intervention focus areas from the administrator:
- Undertake a full diagnostic analyses of the challenges in the municipality while focusing attention on the financial problems;
- Identify key areas to be addressed and document the root causes of the problems;
- Prepare a report with the findings and make appropriate recommendations based on the diagnostic analysis;
- Review previous or any existing recovery plan; and
- Prepare a holistic financial recovery plan to assist the municipality address all its problems, with emphasis on the financial matters for approval by the Municipal Council.
