Document: Top 10 reasons why South African businesses must think green
Description
„Green‟ is becoming a mainstream economic issue and can no longer simply be relegated to the environmentalist lobby. Introducing sustainable energy efficiency and pursuing environmentally friendly growth should be top of mind for every South African business.
Looming on the horizon are government incentives for becoming greener, and harsh penalties for businesses that fail to do so. Equally compelling, however, is the rationale of ensuring a future for our country and its people.
Business leaders can no longer ignore global green trends. They need to embrace Green Growth, the term coined for pursuing economic growth while preventing environmental degradation, biodiversity loss and unsustainable natural resource use.
