Brief Overview
10,000 Women is a five-year investment by Goldman Sachs to provide 10,000 underserved women around the world with business and management education. In South Africa, 10,000 Women is managed and delivered by the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS), the business school of the University of Pretoria.
GIBS is a leading South African business school. According to the top business school ranking measure, the Financial Times' annual ranking of open executive education, GIBS was ranked 49th overall in the world for delivering open executive education programmes. This makes GIBS the top ranked business school in Africa in this category. GIBS is proud to deliver management education to over 80 corporate and public organisations and is currently the only institution in South Africa that offers an MBA in entrepreneurship.

Goldman Sachs-GIBS 10,000 Women Certificate Programme for Women Entrepreneurs is a fully sponsored programme, targeting women who own growing businesses with an annual turnover between R300 000 to R5 million.
The programme includes four months of business management education, mentorship, networking and other support.
Selection criteria for this opportunity:
- Women entrepreneurs who manage their own businesses in South Africa;
- Minimum of a matric qualification;
- Business to have an annual turnover of R300 000 to R5 million;
- Business must be in operation for over a year; and
- Businesses that employ five or more people will be given preference.
