Event: Undercover Farming Expo 2012

Between 3000 and 4000 farmers are applying covered methods to their farming practice and has become part of an international phenomen to cope with less water, higher temperatures, pollution and increased dryness of soil. With covered farming the growth season is extended and income is increased.

Although positioned as a trade show, we will welcome public visitors as it will be a information source for existing and potential producers and buyers of vegetables, flowers, fruit and seedlings being produced under shelter. The expo's marketing programme will promote the event internationally to ensure a high number of visitors.

Undercover Farming Expo is a first for South Africa, and it is expected that a number of foreign visitors, experts and even exhibitors who market in countries known for undercovered farming and who may be looking for local representation, will attend the show. Speakers with professional knowledge about current affairs impacting producers will form part of the programme.
