Treasury's Jobs Fund launched
Dear SA LED Network Member,
National Treasury has launched a R9 billion Jobs Fund, running for three years and administered by the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA). It is targeted at established companies that plan to expand existing programmes or pilot innovative approaches to employment creation, with a special focus on opportunities for young people. The NEPAD Business Foundation (NBF) invites firms and individuals to submit Expressions of Interest (EOIs) to provide the following consulting services: Develop an interactive, practical/hand-on self-contained agriculture supply-chain training module at polytechnic level with strong linkages into formal private sector businesses (e.g., agri-business, value-addition, logistics, packaging, etc.), as a pilot project, targeting in the first place, existing small non-commercial farmers and agri-entrepreneurs and secondly, students.
