Article: The University of Johannesburg’s Centre for Local Economic Development (CENLED) in partnership with the DTI and the University of the Western Cape will roll out a degree for Local Economic Development Practitioners from 2012. Article: Another feature article is Women's co-op a big success story. This 16 women co-operative from Kwanonkqubela Township in Alexandra cultivates chicory and a variety of vegetables. In February they produced a record 6875 tons of chicory. The full article is available here.
