Organisation: Fair Trade South Africa (FTSA)
Fair Trade South Africa is the national umbrella organisation for Fair Trade. The fair trade movement aims to enhance trading conditions for small scale businesses, improve labour conditions for employees and empower communities through ethical and sustainable trade. Fair Trade South Africa works on behalf of all stakeholders of fair trade including producers, traders, retail, support organisations and of course consumers of fair trade products. Fair Trade South Africa is raising awareness of fair trade amongst consumers and businesses in South Africa and developing marketing opportunities for fair trade producers and traders in this country. Soon, the full range of fair trade products from around the world will be available to the South African consumer.
