Farewell and thanks to Dawn Malotane-Lindsey of the SA LED Network

Dear SA LED Network Member,

Dawn Malotane-Lindsey, CEO of the SA LED Network, is leaving us at the end of June 2010 to relocate to the United States. During her time with the SA LED Network, Dawn built crucial partnerships with government departments, academia and the private sector to establish the LED Network at national level. She also managed the internal structures of the Network and drove forward the change processes that led to the long term sustainability of the Network with the South African Local Government Association (SALGA) now hosting the LED Network at its premises in Pretoria.

We thank Dawn for her drive, perseverance and patience at the same time and wish her the very best for the future in North America.

Important: From today 30 June, the dawn@led.co.za email address will be no longer in use. Please rather send any SA LED Network related emails to admin@led.co.za and the SA LED Team will forward them to most the relevant person.

CMRA with support from SALGA hosted a Stakeholders workshop on Benchmarking Local Economic Development (LED) and Benchmarking in Public Participation (PP) on 23-June-2010 at SALGA house in Pretoria. This meeting comes after municipalities responded to CMRA’s invitation and expressed interest to participate in the Benchmarking cycle in different topics. Municipalities who were not able to join the meeting but have an interest to participate are invited to engage with the Benchmarking LED & Public Participation Project Manager Ms. Letticia Naid on 012 347 3848 or email to Lnaid@cmra.org.za.
