It explores the LED approach of Newcastle Local Municipality in KwaZulu Natal Province, including topics such as industrial marketing, the development of a new bio fuel project, public-private sector collaboration as well as a model for a LED Forum. According to the Daily Dispatch Newspaper, the government's New Growth Plan will lead to the creation of five million jobs over the next decade and reduce unemployment from 25 percent to 15 percent. Six key areas outlined for job creation are infrastructure, agriculture, mining, the green economy, manufacturing and tourism, together with high-level service industries.
