SALGA launches new LGICT Network!

LGICT Network

Dear SA LED Network Member,

We will continue with our "Ask the expert" online discussion until 17 June 2011. We are looking forward to your questions and comments around 'tourism marketing', 'responsible tourism' or any other related topic you would like to discuss with our tourism experts!

South African Tourism has published its Highlights of tourism's performance in 2010, providing an overview of South Africa's tourism industry. The report shows that tourist arrivals have reached an all-time high of 8,1 million in 2010, with 1,061,687 more tourist arrivals to South Africa than in 2009. Although largely driven by South Africa hosting the 2010 FIFA World Cup in June and July last year, this is a growth of 15.1%. To view the full  report please click here

We added the Co-operatives Handbook 2010 published by the Department: Trade & Industry (dti) to the LED Network Website. The document contains valuable information on dti's different programmes and the various agencies focussing on business development support. To download the Handbook please click here.

The Johannesburg Development Agency (JDA) invites current and prospective suppliers and service providers to apply to be accredited and registered on its Supplier Database. Closing date is 01 July 2011. To see the tender and to download the application form please click here
